Privacy Policy

Little Reader is an early-reading app developed by Prathyusha for children and their families. This policy explains how the Little Reader app handles information.

Information we collect

Little Reader does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information. The app does not ask for a child’s or parent’s name, email address, age, location, photos, contacts, microphone, camera, or other personal details.

Information stored on the device

The app saves reading progress, completed activities, collected stickers, stars, audio preferences, word-help preferences, and a cached purchase-entitlement status locally on the device using Apple-provided storage. This information is used only to provide the app’s features and is not sent to us.

Deleting the app removes this locally stored reading data, subject to the device’s normal backup and restore behaviour.

Audio features

Optional reading assistance uses Apple’s on-device speech-synthesis technology to speak words and sentences. Little Reader does not record a child’s voice and does not request microphone access.

In-app purchases

Little Reader offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock the full reading library. Purchases and restorations are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We do not receive or store payment-card details. Apple may process purchase and account information according to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising, analytics, and tracking

Little Reader does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, social media features, user accounts, chat, or user-generated content. We do not track users across apps or websites.

Children’s privacy

Little Reader is designed to provide a safe experience for young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchasing features are placed behind a parental gate intended for a grown-up.

Third-party services

The app uses Apple platform services required for app functionality, including StoreKit for purchases and AVSpeechSynthesizer for optional spoken reading help. Little Reader does not integrate third-party software development kits that collect data.

Data requests

Because we do not collect or maintain personal information, there is normally no account or personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Reading progress and preferences can be removed by deleting the app from the device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app’s features or privacy practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a future version begins collecting information, we will update both this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before that version is released.
